LOGICS IN BECOMING A GREAT STUDENT

ADVICE TO ALL WAEC STUDENTS
WANT TO CLEAR ALL YOUR PAPERS IN ONE SITTING THEN FOLLOW UP THESE INFORMATION

The most important aspect of exceeding in life is just to keep up on, reading your books as a student. To read is like fortifying yourself for the task ahead of you, and while reading make sure you understand exactly the illustrations of each text you see. Because, it will be of no use to you reading without understanding. So therefore you must understand clearly what you read.

You do not need to cram things before you understand them for the best of best is to understand it and mot to cram words for words. Cramming has been investigated by so many people to disappoint all those who indulge in the act one way or the other during examinations. So therefore reading and understanding is the best way rather than cramming; because you might surely forget a particular text you did want to put down, but since you cannot remember it, that answer becomes useless to you and may also put you in a state of not remembering any other you have crammed before.
Furthermore, on no occasion, should you cram, why? Because those who cram have the problem of relating very well to friends after cramming, because they might easily forget it. Any slightest discussions will distract them from focusing on what they had crammed over night. But one who reads and understood its text do not need to panic during exams for he/she might not really know how to define a particular thing word for word but can put up a well organized write up that will illustrate the question, thereby linking what he/she has written down to her incomplete definition to make up for it. This is the best way to write during examination like WAEC.

WAEC has made their syllabus on topic Areas to cover during reading i.e. Areas of focus. But I urge you to read totally every single topic of your text books, because, it is not certain whether a question might spring up from those areas you neglected, sometimes or rather often it happens, and by this single Act, it does put a student in a confused state.

There are so many differences between readings and studying, which comes up to some students as nothing, but I will tell you the difference.
READING: in the actual sense of it, is when you are reading a text with the LIP service, going through words in a hurry, just to be fast and finish quickly.
STUDYING: in the other sense of it, is a state of being physically and spiritually minded in each word you come across during the course of your reading i.e. words for words with an upmost mindset to understand why this or that is so, giving yourself illustrations, by creating pictures to make you recollect. And by this method of reading, you can hardly forget completely anything of what you had read even if you are woken up by someone from your sleep.

Yes I want to write WAEC, people do say WAEC examinations are usually hard. No!!!! Friends, WAEC is not difficult, but it is what you had already conceived in mind that makes it hard for you. WAEC questions are mainly all the things you were taught in your SSS1-SSS3, Completely from them, without any external questions. And you will surely be able to attempt any type of questions that comes your way if you are the type that does read. I mean study everyday as a good and promising student.

Nobody in this world is dull-and do not see yourself as a dullard, because you are wise. God has blessed everyone with wisdom, but it is for one to activate it in him; what am I saying, I mean encourage yourself, tell yourself that you can do it and you will see yourself glittering in your Academic life.

Make good friends, those who are intelligent, draw more closer to them-if you are already closer to them. If you aren’t closer before fly right now to them, asking them these questions:
·        Has God blessed you with knowledge and has not blessed us?, why is it that we don’t know and you know?, tell us your secret.
·        How do you study?
·        What are you timetable or schedule of studying?
·        What are your methods of reading?
·        Do you sleep at night?
·        Do you do home cores at all?
·        Etc
And their responses will impact something that can never leave you for the rest of your life.

Some of the secrets of the Brainy Ones are thus:
·        Playing when it is necessary
·        Always serious with their studies
·        Always listening to teachers while they are teaching and trying to ask questions when they are lost
·        Meeting teachers for advice
·        Meeting good friends who are intelligent
·        Praying to God asking him always to refill their brains
·        Playing football seldom
·         watching film less or not at all
·        Engaging in interesting matters that concern their academic life
·        Reading always
·        Preparing timetable for reading
·        Etc

THE EFFECT OF WATCHING FILMS
Do you know that watching films while studying for an important examination as WAEC is nothing to write home about? I will explain also why people’s brains are normally filled up so easily, that they cannot accumulate anything else they read.

It is because my study and researches has found out that, when you are watching a movie that you find most interesting, you become absent minded of how intelligent you are at that moment, and focusing on the screen of that television strains your academic thinking; thereby making you feel interested in what will  happen next. Your entire thinking faculty becomes concentrated to that very movie which draws up part of your natural memory to understand the movie and while trying to understand the movie, your memory begins to read in a high frequency; and then finally a good space of your brain capacity will be filled up.

When next you take up your books to study, you will find out that, the sense of understanding is no longer there and you will be forced to put away your books for another thing entirely. That is why you are not advised to watch movie while preparing for Exams of any sort.
